Or black and white as it is sometimes called. This is the oldest and the most classic of all tattoo styles. It will always have a special place as one of my favorites. One of the many benefits of black and gray is less time under the needle. It lasts longer, ages better and gets completed faster and can be very useful when covering large areas of the body.
This style is ideal for people who get a lot of sun. It smooths out as it ages and is more resilient to the wear and tear from the sun. Similarly to color tattoos, when someone takes the time to layer black and gray effects it can achieve a rich thickness and smoothness to it that is unrivaled.
